If there was ever a band that the ability to air re-runs of The Partridge Family in your head, that band is Los Angeles power poppers, Smash. One listen to the lush and wispy vocals of the band's single "Daydream Girl" and you'll be transported to the dreamy land of yellow submarines and psychedelic painted tour busses.
Their 1995 debut "Milk It for All It's Worth" has been unavailable for many years and now is back with 4 bonus tracks. . Singer/songwriter Tony Valenziano variously channels the Monkees, the Byrds, and the Kinks on peppy tunes like "I Don't Think I Love You Anymore." The results are solidly entertaining guitar-based power pop with all the harmonies, hooky 12-string guitar riffs, and handclaps that label suggests.
