Heralded as one of rock’s greatest guitarists, Leslie West formed Mountain in 1969 and continued on with band member Corky Laing throughout their career. In 1984 Mark Clarke, of Uriah Heep fame, joined the band on bass. The 8 tracks on Eruption were recorded in 1985 with this lineup at the legendary NYC rock clubs, The Ritz and L’Amour. The set features their most popular songs, “Mississippi Queen”, “Nantucket Sleighride”, “Theme From An Imaginary Western” with a blistering version of Joe Walsh’s “Rocky Mountain Way”. This double album makes its vinyl debut and is pressed on psychedelic red splatter colored vinyl.
