Two migrant field workers—George Milton, an intelligent but uneducated man, and Lennie Small, a bulky, strong man but mentally disabled—barely scrape by while staying ahead of the police who are looking for Lennie.
George does all he can to keep his friend out of trouble, but the giant’s rage cannot be tamed. After crushing the farm boss’s hand during a brawl, he goes and does the unthinkable.
The leads—George Segal (The Goldbergs, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Entourage), and British actor Nicol Williamson (Spawn, Excalbur, The Exorcist III)—give masterful performances in this 1968 television adaptation of the John Steinbeck classic.
