“Sassy,” as Sarah Vaughan was lovingly called, is considered one of the definitive jazz and popular music vocalists of all time. She worked with legendary musicians Count Basie, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Benny Carter, and Quincy Jones who said of her, “...Sassy and Ella were fire-breathing monsters. They saw themselves as horns.” This concert gives us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a happy, relaxed, warmly humorous and vocally supreme presentation by an amazing vocalist.
