Bethlehem Asylum's only two albums, combined into this one digital album and CD, provide an insight into the future of fusion and progressive rock artists that will follow. The first album, "Commit Yourself" offers a jazzier instrumentation with superb work on piano, sax and flute. The eponymous second album has more harmonizing but the psychedelic sounds of the late 1960s are on full display with rock, folk and jazz fused then veering into a more spacey prog rock

They originated from the St. Petersburg/Tampa, Florida area. Although they toured extensively throughout the South, they had a good reputation as a live act and were often double billed with The Allman Brothers. The band had recorded some demos with Jerry Wexler for Atlantic records in 1969. These 2 albums were released by Ampex Records in '70 and '71.
