Swingin' '60s:
Relive the musical magic that epitomized the early sixties with your host, Frankie Avalon.
This show features a bevy of legendary music performances. Among them are Peter Noone of the British Invasion sensations Herman’s Hermits; mellow rockers The Association; and falsetto master Lou Christie. All this, plus the group that puts the “psycho” in psychedelic, Strawberry Alarm Clock. It’s an amazing concert, jam-packed with many hit songs you’re sure to remember.
Recorded June 6, 1987 at Gulfstream Park, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

The Rockin' Era:
You can now relive the excitement and remember the magical music of the fifties and sixties with your host, Frankie Avalon. Recorded May 29, 1987 at the Pompano Baseball Stadium you’ll enjoy the harmonized doo-wop vocals of The Drifters, The Crystals, Little Anthony and the blue-eyed soul of Del Shannon, singing their biggest hits.
Originally conceived as a “Spring Break” reunion to bring back yuppies and others who once frolicked on the Ft. Lauderdale beaches, the Broward Tourist Development Council decided to put on a series of concerts designed to bring back an older, more upscale clientele in order to attract visitors with money to spend in classy new hotels and gourmet restaurants.
